1. Does my Sleepover consist of a Behind the Scenes tour with the animals? No, your guided tour is with a highly trained and experienced staff member who will provide bio-facts along with detailed explanations is regards to the animals within your venue. There will not be an opportunity to feed or pet any of the animals, in the morning a mini tour may be provided but only subject to keeper availability. 2. What is the cost for a sleepover at the Calgary Zoo? The cost is $60.00 (no GST) per person; this is a flat rate for both adults and children. 3. What are the requirements for a private sleepover at the zoo? For a private sleepover we require a minimum of fifteen guests and a maximum of fifty guests. 4. What time does the program start? Your sleepover begins at seven sharp; we ask that your group be ready to enter the zoo on time as we need everyone from your group to enter at the same time. 5. Is dinner included in the sleepover? No, dinner is not included, a light snack is provided mid way through your evening portion and we ask that you refrain from bringing in any personal food items as we try and limit the amount of food in the classrooms. 6. What is included in the sleepover breakfast? Your breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, hash browns, cereal, fruit salad, condiments and juice, coffee, and tea. 7. When is final payment and final due by and how do I have my payment processed? Final numbers and payment are due two weeks prior to your sleepover and can be processed by Lauren Kerley at 403 232 9353, we due require these figures as soon as possible as we are communicating with various departments in order to effectively organize your sleepover. Final payment can be made by either credit card or cheque made payable to Calgary Zoo Education department. 8. What is the ratio of adults to children? We require a ratio of one adult for every four children. If you don’t supply the correct amount of chaperones you will be invoiced $25.00 per child over the ratio that you have supplied.
