Care for All Living Things 

 Welcome to the Calgary Zoo! Please enjoy your visit and respect a few basic rules. 

The zoo is home for many animals and plants. Please treat them with courtesy and do not
approach or feed animals (except in designated areas), pick or damage plants, knock on
glass or throw coins in ponds. Please stay on pathways and respect safety fences.
Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas, as marked on the visitor map. 

We ask visitors to be appropriately attired—including shirts and shoes please.
Loud and unruly behaviour may spoil the visit for others and cause stress to the animals.
The zoo is a family environment and the use of profanity will not be tolerated. 

Items not allowed on grounds: pets, roller blades/skates, heelies,
skateboards, scooters, bicycles and tricycles, balls, Frisbees and balloons. 

Those not observing these basic rules may be asked to leave by Zoo Security.
