Giant Panda Breakfast

The Calgary Zoo is proud to offer your group a rare opportunity to see the giant pandas before we open to the public. Much more than simply a zoo, but a leader in wildlife conservation—the zoo is internationally recognized for its conservation research projects that protect and save species in Canada and around the world.


Enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn why giant pandas are so important, why they sleep so much, and what specialized care is required to protect this majestic endangered animal. After your meal, your group be treated to an exclusive viewing of the pandas enjoying their morning routine. Groups are welcome to stay on park to explore afterwards

Remember to leave time for walking. Our Giant Panda program begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. and your zoo access begins at 7:30 a.m. to give you plenty of time to walk from the entrance to the program venue.

Come as hungry as a bear and we’ll take care of you with our incredible Morning Glory Buffet. It includes everything from the savoury to the sweet and is guaranteed to tickle your taste buds and we’ll quench your thirst with a variety of beverages.
