We want to ensure that your membership experience is exceptional in 2018. And for members, that experience starts before we open Panda Passage to the public. Starting in early May (stay tuned for the official opening date!), there will be a full week of Members-Only sneak previews for Engage and Inspire Members. You’ll get to the see the Pandas first!

We have also created a daily “Members Only” time to visit the pandas in Panda Passage every day. Throughout the spring and summer, the first hour of Panda Passage, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. daily, will be reserved for Engage and Inspire Members. You’ll get to the see the pandas first every day! It’s our way of saying thank you for your continued support to protect wildlife and wild places. Look for full details to be released soon in an upcoming newsletter.

Now is the best time to renew your membership. On May 1, there will be a small increase to membership pricing. For most membership levels, this will be a $5 increase. Your membership is paid for in as a little as two visits, so a zoo membership remains the best deal in town.

The support of our 75,000 members is critical not only to the financial sustainability of our not-for-profit organization, but because it makes possible our important wildlife conservation activities across Canada and around the world. Thanks to you, we save endangered species every day.

We hope you’re as excited as we are for the arrival of the giant pandas.  If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Thank you again, we are grateful that you are a passionate ambassador for our zoo and wildlife conservation.

    My membership is paid up
It is not time for me to renew. I would like to know if I can see the Pandas on Friday or Saturday in the mornings between 9 & 10 am once the visitation has started

      Hi Anna,

Yes, you will be able to visit during the morning members-only visitation period. Thanks for checking with us.

My engage membership is good until August/September.
Do I have to pay the extra to be in line to see the Pandas earlier in May?

    • Calgary Zoo

      Hi Vicki,

You’re correct- your membership will allow you to visit the pandas during the preview period this spring! We hope that you enjoy your first panda visit.

I think this is a wonderful idea and it shows that the Calgary Zoo appreciates their annual members. My family and I come a lot throughout the spring and summer. My boys are 24 and 19 so as mom and a women I don’t have much I can relate to with them lol but we do relate to the zoo.
Being able to have that hour in the morning will be great. I’m restricted in my walking, so at times I need to use a cane or walker, which can make being in large crowds challenging.

Have the dates for the panda previews for members been scheduled yet?

Also, I am very knowledgeable about Giant Pandas and I have had some experience working with them in China. I would like the opportunity to work as a volunteer interpreter at Panda Passage. I would really like to show someone how much I know and how much I can help. Can you suggest someone I can talk to? Or can you pass my name and email to someone at the zoo – like perhaps the Curator for Mammals or someone in charge of guest relations? I would appreciate that very much. Thank you.
