Bring your family and friends to tour our incredible Calgary Zoo universe and visit our Action Stations to improve your planetary protection abilities. Get your star ship moving: Travel the zoo paths on a galactic trek as a Guardian of the Wild and collect codes at ten simple action stations. Our daily programs are a great addition to your visit so you’ll want to take in as many as you have time for:

  1. Take care of your long lost ancestors: Grab your first action station code and learn about caring for gorillas daily at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.—this action station will teach you reduce, reuse and recycle your electronics.

3. It’s not a long weekend on planet Alberta without a Grizzly sighting: See the wonders of grizzly bear training daily at 1:30 p.m. and collect your action code as you walk through the wilderness without leaving a trace.

4. Time warp to the past to save the future: Explore Prehistoric Park with a dino dig, launch some water canyons and get some photographic proof of your excursion. Don’t forget to collect the codes.

  1. Celebrate your star achievements with a few whoops: Get to know what incredible birds Whooping cranes are daily at 12:30 p.m.and be sure to collect the pollinator code while you’re here.
  2. Need to regroup with your Guardians of the Wild team? Come stop in for a relaxing walk with the lemurs all day long. This Action Station shares ways you might improve your consumer habits while you grab the code.

7. Keep your Milano engines cool: Catch a penguin keeper talk daily at 10:30 a.m. and cool off with the penguins raise your sea IQ while capturing the ocean wise code that will help you make smart seafood choices.

8. Every planet has fascinating vegetation: Connect with the trees on zoo grounds and get the code because guardians know that trees protect our planet from being an uninhabitable barren landscape.

9. Some experiences are otter-this-world: Visit the otters and collect the code behind the Cequel Energy Lodge at Nature Play, which is the perfect family picnic spot and place to let the kiddos run loose.

  1. Refuel your engine with some food: Drop by our new outdoor lounging area on Panda Park for some BBQ or Chinese food. Don’t forget to make a stop at the Conservation FSC Action Tent.
