It’s National Zoo Keeper Week and we’re sharing the love! To recognize the dedication and hard work of our amazing zoo keepers, we are posting an interview of a keeper each day this week. Meet Mona Keith, a lead keeper at the Calgary Zoo who has a passion for animals that inspires anyone who talks to her.
It’s National Zoo Keeper Week and we’re sharing the love! To recognize the dedication and hard work of our amazing zookeepers, we are posting an interview of a keeper each day this week. We caught up with Kayla while she was target training the giraffes, and talked about her passion for penguins, and how lucky she was to witness the first penguin chick hatch at the Calgary Zoo!
For the past few weeks we’ve been using the hashtag #20zootodo to count down the days until the Calgary Zoo fully reopened. Once a day, for 20 days, we’ve shared suggestions for what you can do when you get back on the island.
With the zoo officially opened, as of November 28, 2013, we’re turning the list over to you!
Print it out (you can download it here) and use it as a guide to take pictures during your next visit to the zoo. Share your pics on Instagram and Twitter using the #20zootodo hashtag. Then follow the hashtag to get in on the fun!
Here’s the full list:
