Date: July 1, 2017

In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, the Calgary Zoo is gifting children 12 years old and under with a white spruce tree for them to plant and nurture. Or pick up a flag to properly celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday! As you arrive at the zoo you are welcome to take a Canadian Flag to celebrate our heritage.

The gifts will be handed out at the plan your visit table in the penguin plaza as you enter the zoo. Limited quantities are available. Please arrive early.

Looking for a way to remember Canada’s 150th birthday? Make a memory that will last a life time. Take a selfie with the giant beaver during your visit! Don’t miss out on a photo in the giant red chair outside of the ENMAX Conservatory #Canada150 #ourzooyyc #yyc

Forests are an important part of the Canadian ecosystem. We all have a role to play in protecting and preserving our forests. Help keep our wild spaces happy and healthy by planting a tree. Wild spaces that are maintained help conserve the wildlife that inhabit those spaces.
