The life-sized, lifelike animatronic dinos from the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit left for good on October 31, 2016. Though their stay with the zoo has ended- don't fret! Prehistoric Park will re-open in the spring of 2017 to visitors, featuing the classic dinos, recent improvements, and BIG fun.

What happened at Dinos Alive?

  • 16 animatronic dinos roared and came to life around every turn
  • We featured new daily talks and programs that to help turn young dino fans into dino experts
  • A new and improved Prehistoric Park (upgraded last year) offered better pathways, scenery and overall experience
  • Visitors could pull up their paleontologist sleeves and uncover giant fossils at the Dino Dig

Dinos Alive is leaving but not all is lost.

Even though the animatronic dinos are leaving, all the original dinosaur models and fun to be had at the Prehistoric Park will be back next year. So all you dino fans can still travel back!

I have been going here since I was just a kid, the redo of the Prehistoric Park is awesome! Love the new moving and loud Dinos! A must go for a family visiting Calgary!
