The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo’s Animal Care & Health team members are experts when it comes to caring for and treating our diverse family of animal residents. But they know that even our stuffed animal friends sometimes need a little TLC.
For a $5 donation, you can bring your little one and their favourite stuffed animal to the zoo for a checkup! Our animal health experts, educators, and volunteers will help demystify visiting the doctor’s office while showcasing the importance of regular medical care for people and animals.
Date: Saturday, October 21st, 2023
- Member access: 9am to 10am
- General access: 10am to 1pm
What to expect:
- Stuffie intake and triage

Cost: A $5 donation is required to participate in the Teddy Bear Clinic for both members and public guests. Members can access the zoo via their membership. Day admission tickets are required to be purchased by non-members. All proceeds from this event will go towards ongoing animal care and conservation programs at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. Please be sure to bring your proof of donation to the zoo with you.
From performing preventative health check-ups to life-saving procedures, our incredible Animal Care, Health & Welfare team looks after the health and well-being of the animals we love and care for – and for one day only, the stuffies you love and care for. We hope to see you there!
