A proposed parking fee at the Calgary Zoo scheduled to be implemented in 2009 will not apply to Zoo members, Zoo officials confirmed today.
The proposed fee, which would come into effect on July 1, 2009, will be used to offset the expansion of the Zoo’s current lot from 1,300 to 1,800 stalls and introduce new safety and security measures. The parking fee proposal still requires approval from the Zoo’s Board of Trustees and Calgary City Council.
If approved, the lot renovations would commence in early 2009 and should be completed by summer 2009. Learn More
