Canadian Wilds will be closed to the general public on Sunday, Jan 24 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Thu, 01/21/2021 - 9:46 amFor those of you planning on visiting the Calgary Zoo this Sunday, please note that the Canadian Wilds will be closed to the general public from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 24th, 2021 to support our special experience, Winter FOCUSED. which is taking place in the Canadian Wilds during this time.
All other outdoor areas of the zoo will not be impacted by this event so there is still plenty to see and do during your visit. The Canadian Wilds will be open to you at 11:00 a.m. when Winter Focused ends.
A friendly reminder that:
- Timed tickets are required and must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are not sold onsite.
- Our indoor animal habitats & buildings are currently closed, with the exception of retail shops and washrooms, in accordance with provincial health and safety measures.
- We continue to operate daily under the enhanced public safety precautions including: remaining an outdoor-only space, reduced visitor capacity to 15%, advanced timed tickets required, recommended one-way path flow on the island, masks strongly recommended everywhere at the zoo & mandatory indoors (washrooms), and physical distancing will be strictly enforced by staff.

Wed, 01/13/2021 - 2:52 pmThe Calgary Zoo is open for daily zoo visits and we have returned to a one-way Zooventure! Choose your route as you follow one-directional arrows that take you through the zoo on a self-guided tour, with lots of animals to see along the way.
Timed tickets are required and must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are not sold onsite.

If you're looking for a souvenir or a special gift for a wildlife enthusiast, please stop by our North Gift Shop, located at the north entrance beside Penguin Plunge, which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
