North gate open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Zoo grounds close at 6 p.m.

Concessions and Retail:
Kitamba Café is open from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Kitamba Java and Penguin Café are open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
All outdoor concession locations are closed for the winter season.
Grazers restaurant will re-open in Spring 2018, but book it for your next event.
North Gift Shop is open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tiger's Den Gift Shop is open from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., weather depending. The Trading Post is closed for the winter season.
Buildings and Habitats:
During the winter season, some animals are "put to bed" before the darkness settles in, beginning as early as 3:30 p.m., both for their safety and the safety of our staff.
African Savannah, TransAlta Rainforest, ENMAX Conservatory are open from 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Canadian Wilds (including Cequel Lodge) and Land of Lemurs (excluding outdoor loop) open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Penguin Plunge open at 9 a.m. Last entrance is at 4:15 p.m.
Prehistoric Park will re-open Spring 2018.
Eurasian Gateway is closed for construction of the giant panda habitat.
Zoo grounds close at 6 p.m.

Entrance through North (Main) gate at 210 St. George's Drive NE only. Parking fees apply. The West gate and lot on Zoo Rd. NE are currently closed due to construction from the Flood Protection Project. For those utlizing GPS, please use 210 St. George's Drive NE, to be directed to the zoo's main entrance.
A new adventure can be found every day at the zoo. It’s a fun and educational experience for the whole family, any time of the year. Consider applying your admission toward a zoo membership for year-round access to the world’s most incredible animals.
What to Bring to the Zoo
Please dress for the weather, whether that means sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen or a warm winter jacket and mittens. Feel free to bring your lunch or snacks (but please don’t feed the animals!).
What to Leave at Home
Pets, balloons, bikes, tricycles, drugs and alcohol, rollerblades, skates, scooters, balls, Frisbees, hackeysacks, rollershoes, noisemakers or musical instruments.
Please leave your pets at home, except for service dogs. You can refer to the zoo’s service animal policy for more details.
ZooShare/New Refugee Welcome Program
The ZooShare program provides access for all members of our community to the recreational and educational opportunities offered by the zoo, regardless of economic status. Qualified individuals receive a 75% admission discount to the Calgary Zoo.
