It’s time to make some introductions – our three spur-winged lapwing chicks officially have names!
Voted on by our members, we’re thrilled to introduce you to ‘Chari’ (pronounced SHAH-ree), named after the Chari River in Africa; ‘Churchura’ (pronounced choor-CHUR-uh), named after Chebera Churchura National Park in Ethiopia, and ‘Hula’ (pronounced HOO-luh) after the Hula Valley in Israel, an important habitat for spur-winged lapwings and other bird species.
While these three are still behind-the-scenes, join us in welcoming them in the comments!
