The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and OPA! of Greece have announced a two-year partnership naming OPA! of Greece as Presenting Sponsor of the zoo’s Summer Camps for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Running from June 29 to August 14 in 2026, the program offers half-day and full-day camps for children and youth ages four to 14. The camps provide immersive, hands-on experiences that connect participants with wildlife and introduce key conservation concepts through interactive activities, animal ambassador encounters and discovery-based learning led by the zoo’s Conservation Education team.
Summer camps at the zoo are designed to spark curiosity and help children build a deeper connection to the natural world through exploration and hands-on learning.
“We are excited to welcome OPA! of Greece as the Presenting Sponsor of our Summer Camps,” said Maureen Souply, Director, Learning & Engagement, Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. “These programs play an important role in helping children engage directly with wildlife and conservation. This partnership allows us to expand access to experiences and foster a sense of stewardship and empathy at a formative age.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating accessible learning opportunities that support youth development and encourage meaningful connection with nature.
OPA! of Greece is committed to investing in community organizations that empower youth and strengthen local engagement. Through this partnership, the company continues its focus on initiatives that encourage active lifestyles and meaningful community connection.
“We are proud to support the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and invest in programs that create lasting educational experiences for youth,” says Simran Singh, President & CEO of OPA! of Greece. “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to community engagement, youth education and supporting organizations that make a meaningful impact across Canada.”
Through partnerships like this, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and OPA! of Greece are expanding access to meaningful learning experiences that connect young people with wildlife, conservation and the natural world.
