Half Day Camps – Ages 4-5 yrs

Northern Leopard Frogs

This lively education program is designed for preschool aged children who are ages 4 and 5 and who have not yet completed kindergarten. During these half day camps, children will enjoy games, songs, activities, close up animal encounters, stories, and zoo walkabouts, while enjoying close-up encounters with our animal ambassadors. Half-day camps run weekly from July – August.

Time:

  • Northern Leopard Frog AM– Drop-off 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pick-up
  • Northern Leopard Frog PM– Drop-off 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pick-up

Cost:

$185/week for 5-day camp
$148/week for 4-day camp

Additional Information:

  • Please note: registration closes at 12:00 p.m. Thursday the week prior to start of camp.
  • Campers must be able to use a toilet independently – this includes changing pull-ups or other necessary products independently. Staff are not able to help campers with toileting needs. If your child has any special needs that you would like to elaborate on, please contact 403-232-7732.
  • All camps include the opportunity to meet smaller animal ambassadors.
  • Camper age is now automatically verified by the system at the time of booking based on your account information. It cannot be manually overridden by staff and therefore campers must meet the minimum age within five days of the camp starting date. For example, if your child is registered in a 4/5 year old camp starting July 2 they must be turning 4 by July 7 to proceed with registration. This is a camp-wide policy and no exceptions are permitted. The bookings system will allow a child who is older to register in a younger camp, provided the difference in age is equal to or less than one year. For example, a 6 year old can register in the half-day Northern Leopard Frog camp if it is deemed a better fit by the registering adult.
  • Before and After Care service is available and can be added at the time of registration:
    • Before Care from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (for AM Northern Leopard Frog only), $55/week for 5 day camps, $44/week for 4 day camps.
    • After Care from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (for PM Northern Leopard Frog only) $55/week for 5 day camps, $44/week for 4 day camps.

Registration information and important dates for 2026:

General public registration is open!

Click the “Register Now” button above. Follow the steps in the the registration portal to reserve a camp spot.  Any remaining spots available are displayed up to the minute. General public do not need a specific access link or other sign-up method.

*New this year* Camp spots will be held for 30 minutes once you begin filling out the medical forms, instead of after. This change makes registration more inclusive for those who have high needs campers and require extra time to fill out their medical information. You can then click ‘Add to Cart’, at which point you will have what remains of the 30 minutes to submit payment.
Your registration will not be processed until all these steps are completed. After the hold period lapses, the spot will be released and may be selected by others.
