October at the zoo is brimming with wild experiences!
Solve a “ZooDunnit,” lace up for conservation, treat your teddy to a checkup, gather for a harvest feast, and dress up for Halloween at ZooBOO. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly fun or an adults-only night out, there’s an event waiting for you.
After a wildly successful summer of happy hour admissions, we’re excited to extend this offer into fall! Until Monday, October 13, guests will enjoy 20% off daily admission tickets after 3 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday.
Offer valid for a limited time on 2025 Daily Admission Tickets purchased at calgaryzoo.com or at the zoo’s North Gate, Thursdays through Sundays after 3 p.m. until October 13.
October 3 | Adults-Only
Test your detective skills at ZooDunnit, a new adults-only murder mystery experience. Gather clues, meet a shady cast of characters, and enjoy food and drinks as you work to discover who is ‘lion.’
October 4 | Family-Friendly
Kick off fall with the inaugural Wild Walk, a community fundraiser supporting wildlife conservation. Lace up your walking shoes, enjoy the crisp morning air, and help raise funds for the zoo’s animal care and conservation efforts.
October 11 | Family-Friendly
Bring your little ones and their favourite plushies for some extra-special TLC. For a $5 donation per stuffed toy, kids will learn about medical care from the zoo’s Animal Health team, educators, and volunteers — all while supporting a great cause.
October 12 | Family-Friendly
Celebrate the season with the Fall Harvest Dinner, presented by Hydragreens. Enjoy a cozy day at the zoo followed by a four-course feast featuring turkey two-ways or a vegan harvest bowl, harvest salad with zoo-grown greens, and pumpkin cheesecake.
October 25 – 26 | Family-Friendly
Families can get a head start on the festive fun with an early opportunity for youngsters to trick-or-treat around the zoo in their most fang-tastic costumes. Unleash your creativity on a monster mural, enjoy activities, explore kid-friendly treat stations, and discover incredible wildlife.
The zoo encourages visitors and their little ones to dress up and enjoy the fun! However, for the safety and comfort of all guests, the following adult costumes are not permitted on zoo grounds: full-body animal costumes, mascot-style helmets, inflatable outfits, costumes inappropriate for a family setting, or realistic costumes that may pose a security or animal welfare concern.
