Animal Viewing Impacts:

African Rainforest Building: Habitat maintenance and mulch work will impact animal viewing in the Africain Rainforest Building:

Western lowland gorillas: viewable outdoors, weather-permitting, June 26, 29, and 30
Eastern black-and-white colobus monkeys: off-view until June 26
Mandrills: off-view June 24

PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her female calf ‘Nyawa’ have daily access to either the main indoor habitat or the outdoor habitat from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

Exploration Asia
The Exploration Asia Redevelopment project is officially underway! While there are some viewing impacts in the area, you can still visit many of your favourite species.

Species Viewable: Bactrian camels, Komodo dragons, white-handed gibbons, Malayan tapirs, red-crowned cranes, Turkmenian markhors, Amur tigers, and Pallas’s cats.
Species Not Viewable: Snow leopards and red pandas have been relocated during construction, but don’t worry – these beloved species will be back in 2026.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Exploration Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Step into the secret world of lemurs at this adults-only event that explores the fascinating lives of these unique and mysterious creatures. You’ll begin your evening with an exclusive, after-hours viewing of our three lemur species in the Land of Lemurs immersive habitat, then head to Safari Lodge for a delicious four-course meal. This guest-favourite event features a captivating presentation about these incredible animals, including stories, photos, and videos from the dedicated staff who care for them. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience—secure your tickets before they disappear!

Time: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Schedule:

3:00 p.m. – Guests are welcome to arrive and start their exploration of the zoo.
4:30 p.m. – The bar in Safari Lodge opens for Wild After Hours guests.
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Visit to the Land of Lemurs habitat.
6:00 p.m. – Doors open to Safari Lodge dining room where the welcome drink will be handed out.
6:30 p.m. – The dinner service and presentation portion of the evening commences.
9:00 p.m. – Evening concludes.

Ticket Price: $130 + GST per person

This is an adults-only experience (18+). Valid ID will be required to enter. Guests arriving for this experience with children/infants will not be admitted. No refunds will be provided.
Tickets are not sold onsite and must be purchased online in advance. Sale ends at midnight, two days prior to the event.
Please pre-order any dietary requests by midnight, two days prior to the event.
Guests that wish to be seated with other bookings must add the request in the note field when purchasing their tickets, and ensure both parties are booked for the same date.
Please note that our menu items marked as GF are gluten-friendly as we are not a gluten-free facility.
Parking is $14 and is not included. Wild Journey members receive free parking when they successfully register with ParkPlus.
Entry is through the North Parking Lot and Entrance.
