Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Autumn brings a wild lineup of events at the zoo, from seasonal favourites to fresh adventures. October kicks off with an all-new prehistoric-themed whodunnit; the zoo’s culinary team has you covered this Thanksgiving; and ZooBOO returns for a spooktacular Halloween weekend.
October 2 | 18+
A brand-new live murder mystery game takes over the zoo after hours. Guests will work together to solve the mystery of six stolen dinosaur fossils and one murdered security guard. Chef-attended food stations will feature flank steak, grilled chicken and pesto cream pasta, mushroom vol-au-vent, and an assortment of desserts.
October 3 | Family friendly
The second-annual Wild Walk, powered by Booster Juice, is a three-kilometre walk around zoo grounds in support of the Wilder Institute’s conservation work around the world. Along the way, participants will enjoy special animal enrichment moments, photo opportunities, and live entertainment from the Wilder Bunch.
October 10 | Family friendly
This family-friendly morning event offers early access to the zoo’s Wild Canada zone, including before-hours viewing of polar bears Yellé and Siku. Guests will learn about polar bear biology, conservation challenges, and current research before enjoying a buffet breakfast.
October 11 | Family friendly
Celebrate the season in style with Fall Harvest Dinner. Enjoy a cozy fall day exploring the zoo, followed by a delicious four-course turkey dinner.

Bring home a special Thanksgiving dinner prepared by the zoo’s award-winning culinary team. The 10-person takeaway dinners feature classic seasonal flavours with a wild touch, and orders help fun wildlife conservation.
October 31 & November 1| Family friendly
Families can get a head start on the festive fun with an early opportunity for youngsters to trick-or-treat around the zoo in their most fang-tastic costumes. Unleash your creativity on a monster mural, enjoy activities, explore kid-friendly treat stations, and discover incredible wildlife.

Enjoy a brunch experience featuring a Belgian waffle bar, cooked-to-order omelettes, a chocolate fountain, and more before exploring the zoo.
