Zoo LRT Service Disruption: June 10 & 11

Attention zoo goers! Calgary Transit will be shutting down the Zoo LRT Station from Saturday, June 10th to Sunday, June 11th for maintenance. A shuttle bus will provide service to the zoo from Bridgeland Station to the zoo parking lot bus drop-off zone. This will run every 20 minutes, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on June 10th and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 11th. Please be prepared to alter your route or timing, if needed, so that you can enjoy your zoo visit. For more information, contact 311.

Asia Lawn & Garden Closures: June 16

Please be advised that the Asia Lawn, Dorothy Harvie Gardens and Grassy Knoll will be closed for a member-only event on June 16th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. These temporary closures will not impact access to the ENMAX Conservatory.

Canadian Wilds Construction Update: North Path Closure

To create some exciting new habitats and spaces in the Canadian Wilds, we are undergoing an extensive construction project which will temporarily shift pathways and move some animals offsite until the construction is completed.

While some Canadian Wilds species are currently not viewable, the good news is that you’ll still be able to see several iconic Canadian species when you visit the Canadian Wilds South Path. On this path, you will see cougars, black bears, grizzly bears, North American porcupine, moose, and gray wolves. We’re working hard to minimize impacts while providing the best possible experience for our visitors and the animals we love and care for. Learn more and view the current Canadian Wilds map here.

Gorillas on the Line

Gorillas are on the line - will you help us answer the call? Some cell phone parts use coltanan ore mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gorilla habitat is threatened by the mining for metals used in electronics. Recycling old cell phones (and small handheld electronics) raises money to directly support gorilla conservation initiatives through Gorilla SAFE programs!
