Calgary, AB – The Calgary Zoo has unveiled its planned programming for the first part of 2021 and there’s so much for zoo-goers to look forward to.

“We know times are tough and we want to give Calgarians, and our community at large, some safe and fun things to do and to look forward to this year” said Alison Archambault, Calgary Zoo’s Director of Brand & Engagement. “From the return of Calgary’s largest escape experience Locked Zoo and our popular curbside takeaway dinners, to the addition of some all new exhibits with animatronic dinosaurs and new experiences like our Zoo Quiz Nights – there’s something for everyone to do at the zoo this year.”

As a conservation charity, the zoo relies on ticket sales, zoo visits, memberships and donations to operate and to continue the vital conservation work they do to make a difference for species-at-risk locally and globally.

The Calgary Zoo is currently an 'outdoor-only' experience. Indoor animal habitats & buildings are currently closed, with the exception of retail shops and washrooms, in accordance with provincial health and safety measures. Timed tickets are required to be purchased online in advance. Face coverings are strongly recommended everywhere at the zoo, but mandatory for everyone 2 years and older while indoors (washrooms and retail shops). The Calgary Zoo takes the responsibility of providing a safe place for people to visit during these challenging times very seriously and is committed to remaining aligned with AHS directives.
