Calling All Adults: Let's Celebrate Canadian Wildlife

Posted on May 15

Calgary, AB – Here’s your chance to explore the Calgary Zoo during the evening and without kids! Discover a mature version of the zoo during Adult Night: Canadian Wilds. Guests will enjoy unique Canadian-inspired live music and educational entertainment with food and beverage tastings throughout the Canadian Wilds section of the zoo.

“We wanted to mark Canada’s 150th birthday with a party of our own, highlighting our Canadian animals.” says Maria Martiniello, Event Sales Manager, Calgary Zoo. “Wildlife conservation is at the heart of everything we do at the Calgary Zoo. On Canada’s 150th birthday, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to share this important message.”

Starting at the main entrance of Canadian Wilds, guests will be serenaded through an interactive experience featuring live acoustic music. After receiving a passport, visitors will be encouraged to stop at various locations to mingle with zoo staff, learn about the animals and taste locally inspired appetizers. The night will cap off with a party in Safari Lodge with more music, food and games.

The event runs from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. on June 15, 2017. Tickets are available at

As a conservation organization, event revenue is reinvested into the critical conservation research work the zoo engages in worldwide.
