ZOOLIGHTS 2022

FREEZING TEMPERATURES POSTPONE FESTIVE FUN

Posted on December 19

19 December 2022 (Calgary, AB) – ZOOLIGHTS, presented by Olympia Trust Company, is once again being cancelled tonight (December 19) and tomorrow night (December 20), due to the extreme cold weather forecast. Indoor holiday dinner bookings will proceed on these evenings as planned.

The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo will contact all ticket holders (including those with Snow Globe bookings) to provide impacted attendees with an alternate date to attend. Weather conditions are carefully monitored daily, and decisions to cancel are made the day of. ZOOLIGHTS will hopefully resume on December 21, 2022 (weather permitting).

The zoo will remain open for daytime visits and chilly days are some of the best times to visit the zoo! Not only do they make for a relaxing stroll through zoo grounds without the busyness of fair-weather crowds, but they also increase the chance of catching some of the zoo’s cold-weather-loving animals in action. Think snow leopards, Amur tigers, and red pandas to name a few!

A friendly reminder that the North Gate opens at 9 am and the last entry for day admission and members is at 3 pm. Head to calgaryzoo.com to learn more and grab your tickets.
