What to Leave at Home
- Pets (with the exception of service dogs)
- Bikes, stroller-tricycles, scooters, rollershoes/rollerblades
- Selfie-sticks, balloons, balls, frisbees, hackeysacks, laser pointers
- Noisemakers or musical instruments
- Drugs and alcohol (see Smoking Policy below)
You’re welcome to bring your lunch or snacks, but please don’t feed the animals!
Lost Kids and Emergencies
To report a lost child, call (403) 232-9341. If possible, please stay where you are and Security will come to you. Our security office is located south of the Conservatory, just off 12th Street SE.
Lost and Found
If you have lost an item, contact Security by calling (403) 232-9341.
If you have dropped an item in an exhibit or safety area, please report it to Security by calling (403) 232-9341 and leave your name, contact number, and information about the item. Any item(s) reported or found to be dropped in an animal exhibit or safety area may take time to be retrieved and will be disinfected before being brought to Lost and Found. Please note, disinfection may result in damage to the item.
Please Note: Due to current health and safety measures, Lost & Found services are only available for certain items, including: electronics, wallets, bank cards and credit cards. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer Lost & Found services for cloth items at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
Face coverings are recommended for ages 2+ and are required inside this space, in accordance with City of Calgary Bylaw 26M2020. Be sure to bring yours with you when you visit, and put them on and remove them safely. A limited supply will be available at our North Gift Shop while quantities last!
Emergency first aid is available at our security office, south of the Conservatory.
The Calgary Zoo is predominantly smoke-free. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is permitted in two designated areas only: west of Kitamba Café, and south of Safari Lodge. As per the City of Calgary bylaw 23M2018, smoking or vaping cannabis is not allowed on zoo property.
