We are saddened to share that on December 2, 2023, our Animal Care, Health & Welfare team made the compassionate decision to euthanize our nearly 19-year-old rough-scaled lizard, ’Addis’. Addis came to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo in 2015 and has been a muchloved African Savannah resident ever since. We will share additional information, including the health challenges that led to this decision once a necropsy is completed. Please keep his care team in your thoughts during this difficult time.
