Early Asian Highlands Closure: Last entry to Asian Highlands will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, and Sunday, September 27, to accommodate set up for Wild After Hours: Snow Leopards (18+). The area will be cleared by 5 p.m. Thank you for understanding.

Early Building Closure: Last entry to Kitamba Café and the ENMAX Conservatory will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, to accommodate set up for our ZooDunnit (18+) event. The buildings will be cleared by 3:30 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.

Late Zoo Opening: The Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo will open to members and the day admission ticket holders at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, to accommodate our Wild Walk event. Thank you for your understanding.

Animal Viewing Impacts:

Grizzly Bear Viewing: Our grizzly bears are off-view from Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 18, to accommodate planned habitat work. Thank you for your understanding.

PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her female calf ‘Nyawa’ have daily access to either the main indoor habitat or the outdoor habitat from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Begin your evening with an exclusive, after-hours viewing of our beloved snow leopards in their brand-new habitat in Imagine Asia, then head to Safari Lodge for a delicious four-course meal. Your evening includes a captivating presentation about this incredible species, featuring stories, photos, and videos from the dedicated staff who care for them. Schedule:

3:00 p.m. – Guests are welcome to arrive and start their exploration of the zoo.
4:30 p.m. – The bar in Safari Lodge opens for Wild After Hours guests.
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Exclusive access to Asian Highlands.
6:00 p.m. – Doors open to Safari Lodge dining room where the welcome drink will be handed out.
6:30 p.m. – Dinner service and presentation begins.
9:00 p.m. – Evening concludes.

This is an adults-only experience (18+), valid ID will be required to enter. Guests arriving for this experience with children/infants will not be admitted. No refunds will be provided.
Tickets are not sold onsite and must be purchased online in advance. Sale ends at midnight, two days prior to the event.
Please pre-order any dietary requests by midnight, two days prior to the event.
Guests that wish to be seated with other bookings must add the request in the note field when purchasing their tickets, and ensure both parties are booked for the same date.
Please note that our menu items marked as GF are gluten-friendly as we are not a gluten-free facility.
Parking is $14 and is not included. Wild Explorer, Wild Adventurer and Wild Guardian members receive free registered parking if they have successfully registered with ParkPlus.
Please enter with your tickets at our North Parking Lot and Entrance.
