Animal Viewing Impacts

Our black bears will be intermittently off-view between Tuesday, October 6, and Friday, October 23, as shingles are replaced on the viewing areas. Thank you for your understanding.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Bite-Sized

Welcome, ‘Marshie’

February 09, 2024 | 1 minute read

Hop on the caravan, we have exciting news – another female Bactrian camel has joined our zoo family! We are excited to welcome 7-year-old ‘Marshie’.

Marshie is now calling the camel habitat in Exploration Asia home alongside our other Bactrian camel resident, 18-year-old female ‘Zsa-Zsa’. Marshie seems to be settling in well and has even been seen sharing the camel shelter with her new habitat mate!

Stop by the yard outside of Gateway to Asia to catch a glimpse of our newest resident.
