We can’t bear the excitement – our female black bear ‘Manuka’ is turning 13!
You might be confused about how Manuka is a black bear, considering her beautiful fur, which is golden like the manuka honey she is named after. Black bears can range in colour. They can be black, brown, cinnamon, blond, blue-gray, or white. Manuka is known as a blond black bear, and we think she’s pretty bee-utiful!
Join us in wishing Manuka a happy birthday!
